Veria Wellness Center
PROJECT INFO
Kinsley Steel provided structural steel and metal decking for Harrisburg University of Science and Technology’s new Health Science Education Center. The 11-story facility will accommodate at least 1,000 new students in nursing, pharmaceutical sciences and other allied health programs. The center also includes classrooms and training space for advanced manufacturing and interactive media programs, in addition to auditoriums, and student life and tutoring areas.
Our scope of work included detailing, fabrication and erection of 2,800 tons of structural steel and 2,400 squares of metal decking.
The building utilized several unique pieces of steel, including 17-foot-tall by 70-foot-long trusses that hold up the building’s “eyebrows,” custom “W” shapes, and various hanging columns that created two-story atriums on every other floor of the building.
